Fall 2007 Welcome
We have several new online resources for UNC faculty and students this semester, including the JSTOR Arts & Sciences III collection, which offers back issues of a number of arts and humanities journal titles.
One of our new online reference resources is the Art Museum Image Gallery. It is a digital resource of over 155,000 art images and related multimedia gathered from the collections of museums around the world, and the images are rights-cleared for educational use. You’ll find it on the library web site (http://library.unco.edu) under Article Finder – click on the subject Art.
Also added this semester is Theatre in Video, from Alexander Street Press. It includes performances of the world’s leading plays, together with film documentaries, online in hundreds of hours of streaming video. Our subscription also includes the BBC Shakespeare Collection. You can show the video in a full-screen format, and can mark specific sections for quick access. You’ll find it on the library web site (http://library.unco.edu) under Article Finder – click on the subject Theatre.
If you’d like to use either of these products in your classes, let me know and I’ll give you some more information about doing so.
